RISE 2025

The results of the annual residents’ in-service examinations in clinical pathology and anatomic pathology are finally out. The RISE 2025 were held on October 26, 2025, online, using the system developed by the Philippine Board of Pathology (PBOP). Three hundred sixty-seven residents took the AP and CP examinations but one fourth year resident decided to take only the CP examination. These residents were joined by training graduates and 4 pre-residents As the RISE 2025 did not proceed without system glitches, the PBOP has been planning on the improvement of the system together with the chair of the Committee on Accreditation of Pathology Training Programs (CAPTP).

As a product of the collaboration between PBOP and CAPTP, this year’s RISE introduced the use of performance standard with different standards for junior residents (first and second year residents) and senior residents (third and fourth year residents). The details on the performance standard are stated below the tabulated results released to residents and institution.
